:
Drive to Badami, full day sight seeing of Badami,
Aihole, Pattadakal Morning drive to Badami (two
& hours drive) famous for early Chalukya cave
temples of 6th to 8th century CE. Major
attractions of Badami include Rock cut Cave
Temples dated 6th to 8th century CE (with 81
dancing postures of Lord Siva, numerous carvings
of Hindu, Jain & Buddhist themes); The
Bhutanatha temple (the 5th century CE shrine on
the lakeside); The fort on top of the hill.
Drive to Pattadaka the Second UNESCO World
Heritage Centre in Karnataka. On the left bank
of the Malaprabha river. It is second capital of
the Chalukyas, used mainly for coronations of
kings Pattadakal, was an experimentation ground
for temple architecture. Therefore one can see
two main types of temple architecture side by
side. The most important monuments here, are the
Virupaksha and the Mallikarjuna temples built
between 740-745 A.D, to, commemorate the victory
of Vikramaditya the 2nd, over the Pallavas of
Kanchipuram. Aihole is located about 124 km/77
miles northwest of Hampi was the ancient capital
of the Chalukyas. Overnight at Malligi.

Monday :
Morning Checkout by 8.30 am from the Hotel,
after breakfast drive to Anegundi (Mythological
part of Hampi), Pampa Sarovara, Shabari Ashrama,
Anjanadri Hill, Durga Temple, Nava
Brindavana(Optional), on the way back to Hotel,
visit Japanese Garden. Freshup in the Hotel &
evening at 7 PM drop to Hospet Railway Station
(Dept. by Hampi Exp Train No 6591 at 19:50 Hrs).
